About Stage Door Theatre Arts

Stage Door Theatre Arts is based in Castle Donington and runs on Saturday mornings during term time,  we have a sister group -  an adult only tap group that runs on a Thursday.

We provide dance classes for children (and adults) from 2 yrs of age, mainly teaching ballet, tap, freestyle but we also teach contemporary and musical theatre when we can fit it in our busy timetable. Stage Door holds regular dance exam sessions for those students that wish to take a formal exam - we are NATD members. Dancing is great way to not only keep active and learn new skills but can help to improve confidence. We love holding shows and we aim to do this once every 2 years, although we are still growing again after the pandemic. Take a look at the photos, such a fabulous experience for all involved.

We are a community group and as such all qualified teaching staff and teaching assistants are volunteers, this enables the fees to be kept to a minimum. The intention being that learning to dance is affordable and fun.

The School was originally founded by Linda Cooper over 40 years ago and has gone from strength to strength.

Please feel free to ask any questions, we would be happy for you to come and visit to see if you/your child would like to join us
